HEY GUYS!

Im back to blog, just amongst some things I wanna blog abt, hehe i shall not bore you with my life details, what happened at 12.03 pm and all, soo yea, some random stuff that will either make u reflect or go "WOW! i didnt know that!" haha... here goes:

Number one:

Just in case you didnt know, Singapore's Changi Airport has always been the best airport in the world and has been ranked number one for Many many years, but very recently, in a report issued by one of the organizations, Singapore's changi airport has dropped to NUMBER 4 in the world! Yes, you read it right, we're no more number one...

Best Airports In The world...
1. South Korea
2. Hong Kong
3. Kuala Lumpur
4. Singapore

Hmm, so yea, years ago, when I thought of this, i kept askin myself If singapore will ever Drop to number two, and it didnt seem like it would happen, but wah, was i shocked to read it dropped, and TO NUMBER FOUR, meaning three countries overtook us in this area... haish, you see, thats the importance of constant upgrading of services and facilities.. Once we are contented with ourselves and stop upgrading, other countries will soon catch up... So in this case, its Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Korea... But its ok, I believe this is a wake up call for singapore and I am sure the authorities will do what they can to ensure better facilities and service so as to allow Changi to once again regain the title of best airport next year... GO SINGAPORE! :)

Number two:

I was watching "The Arena" on TV and they were arguing on this issue: Bloggers are becoming more influential than national journalists" Do you agree with this??

Well personally, for me I am more for this motion... I mean, yes i know journalists are reliable sources and all, but hey, it all boils down to this one fact: They are Paid to write stuff in my opinion, so if i pay u to write good stuff about my company, you'll accept it and write
good stuff so as to aid in the reputation of my company aint I right? So in a sense there is biasness to some extent..

But as for bloggers, they write and type things, not because they are asked to, but it is from their own perspective, their own point of view, so it becomes something personal, so you will know there is no biasness and you'll tend to follow what bloggers type rather than journalists due to this factor ..

Like for example, you wanna take up a programme at company XXX... You flip through the papers and you see huge advertisements promoting the company, celebrity endorsements, and testimonials from journalists and customers , all saying company XXX is good and all... But when u read your friend's blog entry who has been to company XXX, and he says whats on the paper cannot be trusted since he wasnt satisfied, and that all in the papers were overexagurated... So now, the question, would u trust the blogger or the journalists / advertisements??

personally I'll go with my friend, but I will bear in mind that opinions differ and all of us have different tastes! hehe...

Plus, one reason why u might not tend to be influenced by journalists is because u do not know them in person, so you dunno whether to believe them as you do not know their taste and preference. As compared to bloggers such as ur friends and family, you're more willing to follow whatever they say and their view on things, as you know their taste and preference and can make a good and informed judgement based on this factor... :)

Like for example, if I wanna buy a punk CD and journalists say this band is good and good bla bla, and I read sahira's blog (She's an avid punk rock emo band fan btw :D ) and she says NO DONT BUY IT cause it wastes your money, then knowing her tastes and preference as compared to mine, I'm mostly likely to swing alongside with her view aint i right? :D

Yeaa, these are just two things amongst others that I used today for my entry.. will use more to make u REFLECT and learn facts you never knew... haha... Any comments?? feel free to tag! I'll appreciate ur views on these two topics mentioned above!

CYA GUYS!
