Reality Check

Hellooo guys!! Ookay, i've nothing much to blog about, just wanna say that nowadays I've been watching TV, especially those talk show kinda TV shows and I must say, it has opened my eyes to the way society looks upon people, and also it has made me aware of things I never knew...

For example, one shocking thing I learnt is the extreme obsession some people have towards celebrities... For example, getting your ribs CRACKED, using those slimming suits, just to have a super small waistline, going for a nose job or plastic surgery to look like Brad Pitt etc. Scary??

If thats not scary enough, how about the likes of people purposely slashing themselves just to attain pleasure... I have absolutely no idea what pleasure you gain by slashing yourselves, but hey this was what I saw on the Tyra Banks Show.. Those people who slash themselevs apparently also had a cutting kit they use, and one of them brought it to her show to actually ask for her help to stop this habit... Also, inside the kit, they kept tissues filled with their blood...

There are MANY others which I may blog about soon, but another thing I must blog about is the importance of attractiveness and good looks in this society we live in... Yea its all abt being handsome, pretty, hot, muscular, slim and all those.. People don't quite look at ur qualifications nowadays do they?? Well, how the producers came to this conclusion is they did a social experiment... Firstly, they hired two twin sisters who were very beautiful... The twin sisters talked abt their experiences outside and how their beauty have given them the upper hand in life.. being stopped at shopping malls for pictures, autographs etc. So what the producers did was put the sisters through a social experiment where one sister was left untouched so she would remain her beautiful self, while the other was put through a makeover to make her uglier... Really uglier, like adding pimples, switching from sexy clothes to oversized clothes and all that...

Following that, the 'uglier' of the two was given a very excellent resume while the prettier one was given a resume thats not so attractive as the first one... And both of them were sent for two same job interviews... Soo, what do you think was the outcome?? Well, it was the more attractive girl that got the job despite her like having only three months of experience as stated in the resume while the uglier one had 7 years of experience!!

Next they were sent on a survey job where they had to ask people to fill in a survey of only three or four short surveys.. All they had to do was to stop people on the street and ask for their opinion... Well, people literally went to the attractive one and in a specified amount of time,she had about 20+ surveys done... Some people even went up to her even though they were in a rush saying "If its for you, i dont mind" Hmm, and guess what happened to the uglier sisteR?? NOBODY wanted to do the survey on her part... some even walked a super long route just to avoid her with some passing unwanted comments...

So there... isnt it sad when we see such occurences we never knew existed amongst humans?? haish... In that case, i guess i'll be at the losing end hahaha... =P

Oookay... now to my top 10.. this time its top 10 movies of 2006! =)
